Mikutina finishes the World Championships in 14th place

Olga Mikutina finished the World Championships in Montreal in 14th place. The 20-year-old scored 116.9 points in the free skate on Saturday night and improved by two places compared to the short program. Mikutina qualified for the top 24 free skate as 16th in the short program with 60.77 points.

Kaori Sakamoto took victory in the Canadian metropolis with a strong freestyle. For the Japanese, it was her third World Cup title in a row. The 23-year-old was only in fourth place after a shaky short program, but made up for this with a successful free skate and seven triple jumps. Sakamoto easily overtook her competitors (222.96 points). A good ten points behind, the American Isabeau Levito won silver (212.16) ahead of Chaeyeon Kim from Korea (203.59), who jumped up from sixth place.
