Mexican judo team set to compete in Antalya Grand Slam for Olympic qualification points

Mexico.- As part of the Olympic Games qualification cycle, the national judo team will participate with four athletes in the Antalya Grand Slam, which will be held from March 29 to 31 in Turkey, in a competition that distributes points for the ranking of the specialty heading to Paris 2024.

According to the International Judo Federation, the women’s branch will be represented by Edna Carrillo in the -48 kilogram category and Paulina Martínez (-52 kg); while in the men’s event Arath Juárez (-60 kg) and Ulises Méndez (-73 kg) will participate.

The tournament will feature more than 600 competitors from 93 countries, representing the sixth date of the specialty series in the season with Mexican participation, then attending Paris, Baku, Tashkent, Austria and Tbilisi.
