Bintang Inter Miami Lionel Messi managed to score the record for the most non-penalty goals in football history and beat his rival, Cristiano Ronaldo who now defends Al Nassr.
After not scoring a goal for Inter Miami in the first week of the United States League, Messi was able to show his sharpness in the following two weeks.
After scoring one goal in the second week, Messi scored two goals in the third week when Inter Miami beat Orlando City 5-0 on Sunday (3/3) morning WIB.
Messi easily scored the first goal taking advantage of the chaos in front of goal that occurred after Diego Gomez’s shot was saved by the opposing defender.
Meanwhile, Messi scored the second goal with a header. Messi was keen to read the position of the opposing goalkeeper when receiving Luis Suarez’s cross. Messi directed the ball to the far post so that the Orlando City goalkeeper couldn’t do much to block the ball.
With a total collection of three goals, Messi now leads the MLS top scorer list. Apart from that, Messi is now the world’s top non-penalty scorer with 716 goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 714th non-penalty goal in Al Nassr’s 2-1 win over AL Fateh in the Saudi League. After that, Ronaldo scored another non-penalty goal when Al Nassr played against Al Feiha in the Asian Champions League.
With this, Ronaldo was ahead in the collection of non-penalty goals compared to Messi. However, in the Florida derby on Sunday (3/3) morning WIB, La Pulga again won his ‘crown’ by scoring two non-penalty goals, bringing his record for non-penalty goals to 716 compared to CR7’s 715.
