Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi not playing at the moment Red Sparks lost to AI Peppers, but its position remains firmly in seventh place in the list of top scorers in the South Korean volleyball league.

Coach Ko Hee Jin chose not to play Red Sparks’ main players in the match against AI Peppers, Wednesday (13/7), including Megawati.

Without Megawati, Giovanna ‘Gia’ Milana, Lee So Young, Noh Ran, Jeong Oh Young, Park Eun Jin, and Yeum Hye Seon, Red Sparks lost to AI Peppers.

Even though they lost, AI Peppers’ position was safe. The certainty of securing third place also made Hee Jin save the main Red Sparks players.

Apart from the Red Sparks’ position not being shifted, Megawati also remains firmly in seventh position in the list of top scorers in the Korean volleyball league.

Megawati pocketed 724 points or 39 points behind Gia who was in eighth place. Megawati’s points are also far from the reach of Yang Hyojin, who is ranked ninth with 523 points.

The Indonesian women’s national volleyball team player may not play again in the closing match of the regular season when the Red Sparks meet IBK Altos on Sunday (17/3). If Megawati really doesn’t play, then her position in the top scorer list will not be ousted.

It’s just that Megawati is lagging behind other players above her, such as Kim Yeon Kyung, the Queen of Korean Volleyball, who is currently in sixth place with 764 points.

Meanwhile, first place on the top score list is currently occupied by Gyselle Silva with 998 points.

Hee Jin will most likely play Megawati in the playoffs against the second ranked team on March 22.
