Sunday March 17th the city of Legnano will experience the second edition of Medieval Day at the San Bernardino Church from 10.00 to 19.00.
The event organized byQuatar Ges Association and more shared with the Municipality of Legnano and the Parish of San Paolo, will see the participation of the associations and institutions:
– “Order of Knights” of Legnano;
– “Arcieri del Martello” of Legnano;
– “Bell Making School of the Cloister of Voltorre”
– “Maneggio La Stella” in Legnano;
– San Paolo Nursery School;
– Contrada of San Bernardino.
In a historical camp specially set up by the “Order of Knights” Association of Legnanofigures dressed in aTypical bits of the medieval period will recreate typical settings of that periodthey will perform medieval shows and will allow children of all ages to try their hand at some particularly fun tests.
The archers of the association “Arcieri del Martello” of Legnano, after having set up the shooting range in great safety, they will give away archery. Anyone, young and old, who wants to try their hand will be given the opportunity to test their skills. As with last year the 4 bells of the church of S. Bernardino will return to mark and cheer the event-goers thanks to the skill of the members of the “Voltorre Cloister Bell School”.
The São Paulo Nursery School will contribute to the event with pedagogical activities relating to the historical period in question aimed at children thanks to its members specifically involved. The possibility for the little ones to ride the ponies made available by the “La Stella” riding school in Legnano deserves particular attention. Finally, it is worth mentioning the contribution of Dr. Francesca Ponzelletti who, inside the San Bernardin Church, will entertain the most interested visitors on the topic “Middle Ages and Battle
of Legnano”.
Finally, it should be highlighted the involvement of the Contrada of San Bernardino which will color the church square with its own flags. HERE IS THE POSTER
