The registered pairs responded to the association’s invitation last Saturday for an introduction to archery but also kayaking and trail running.
“Participants now have the opportunity to practice archery on Mondays at 8 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. at the Bosquette gymnasium. Thanks to club president Érik Robertson (1), who, with his team, supervises the initiations”, underlines Justine Peronnet.
66 teams at the start
More than 30 duos were present last Saturday. The excitement was palpable, this day was also an opportunity for some pairs to meet for the first time. This is the case of Poemiti, of Tahitian origin, and Lucie, of Northern origin.
“We registered solo and it was Justine, who knows our characters well, who put us in touch. It was a match, from there our team was born, which we named ‘TahiChti’”, specify the two teammates.
After the archery session early Saturday morning, Ivan Clément (Water Gliss Passion) supervised the kayaking session, Nartelle beach, providing good advice.
All these little people jumped into the water towards the Pointe des Sardinaux before returning to dry land. The day continued with the running race, an opportunity for some teams to discover the route which will take the competitors, at the end of April, to the summit of Deffend.
A total of 66 teams will be at the start on April 28. Building on its success, the association is already thinking about solutions to be able to welcome even more participants. “It’s difficult to refuse people, we are victims of our success!”
