Martin Landaluce says goodbye to his adventure at the Miami Masters 1,000 after losing in two sets against Ben Shelton by 6-3 y 6-4 in one hour and 25 minutes. The 18-year-old gave a surprise in the first round with a great victory over his compatriot Jaume Differences by winning in three sets 6-3, 1-6 and 7-5 in two and a half hours.

After achieving his first victory on the ATP circuit, the Rafa Nadal Academy tennis player became the first player born in 2006 to win a Masters 1,000 match, showing the great future he has ahead of him. However, the Madrid native could not continue adding victories on the ATP circuit and closes a very special week in the Florida tournament, after having been invited by the organization.

The match faced the Madrid native for the first time against a World top 20.
