Marie Bouzková Dominates First Round Match at Indian Wells Tennis Tournament

Tennis player Marie Bouzková smoothly advanced to the second round at the tournament in Indian Wells.

She beat the Spaniard Sara Sorribes, with whom she plays doubles and together they won two doubles titles in the past, 6:1, 6:1 in 76 minutes.

On Thursday, they will take the court together again in the California desert, but this time on the same side of the court for the first round match of the doubles.

The 25-year-old Bouzková relied on a reliable serve in the match and did not offer her opponent a single chance to break in the first set. She herself, on the other hand, used all three of her opportunities.

However, she immediately responded to the loss of serve, winning six more games in a row and ending the match at the first match point.

For advancement to the third round of singles, Bouzková will face 28th-seeded Anastasia Potapova, who initially had a free draw.
