Manchester United beats Liverpool in FA Cup quarter-finals

In the quarter-finals, the Manchester team defeated Liverpool, the vice-leader of the English Premier League, with a score of 4:3 (1:2, 1:0, 2:1) in extra time.

Scott McTominay put United in the lead after only ten minutes played, but at the end of the first half, when Alexis McAllister and Mohamed Salah scored with accurate shots, the visitors took the lead 2:1.

“United” achieved a draw only in the 87th minute, when Antoni sent the ball into the opponent’s goal.

In extra time, after 15 minutes played, “Liverpool” got back one goal lead by Harvey Elliott, to which the home team responded with two goals scored by Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo, and won 4:3.

In another quarter-final match, London “Chelsea” beat Leicester “City” 4:2 (2:0) at home.

The London side only sealed the victory in stoppage time when Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke beat the visitors’ keeper.

Manchester “City” became the winners of the FA Cup last year, beating the Manchester “United” players 2:1 (1:0) in the final.
