Manchester City Secures 14-Year-Old American Talent Cavan Sullivan from Philadelphia Union

Manchester City has reached an agreement with Philadelphia Union for 14-year-old Cavan Sullivan. He is known as one of the greatest American talents ever. We will probably even see him playing football in Belgium.

City and Philadelphia Union have reached an agreement that will see the 14-year-old academy player move to Manchester when he turns 18, according to The Athletic.

The deal would include many bonuses as well as a percentage of sell-through. He is currently working out a home-grown contract with the MLS club until his transfer in four years.

Borussia Dortmund, who have made calculated gambles on the potential of Christian Pulisic and Gio Reyna in the past, were also mentioned as interested in Sullivan, as were Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

However, they appear to have lost the race to land exciting talent against the wealthy English. Within two years he would move to Belgium.

Manchester City has done this several times with top talents and it is also the reason why the City Group purchased Lommel SK. When he turns 16, he would be loaned to the Limburg club because he will not receive a work permit in England until he turns 18.
