Last night, the agents of the Vasto-Arenaccia police station and the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, during the territorial control service, while passing through via Taddeo da Sessa, noticed a man on board a car; the same, at their sight, accelerated the march to evade the control.
The result was a long chase during which the aforementioned man carried out dangerous maneuvers for road traffic until, upon reaching Traversa II Fosso del Lupo, the operators reached him and stopped him, finding him in possession of 2 baseball bats and 230 euros, divided into banknotes of various denominations.
Furthermore, as there were reasonable grounds to believe that there could be further elements relating to the facts for which they were proceeding, the operators extended the control activity to his home where they found 9 hashish wrappers weighing approximately 19 grams.
For these reasons, the suspect, a 43-year-old Neapolitan with police records, including specific ones, was arrested for illicit possession of narcotic substances and resistance to a public official, as well as reported for carrying weapons or objects capable of offending.

This morning, the Hawks of the Flying Squad carried out, against a 54-year-old Neapolitan, a provision determining concurrent sentences, issued on 20 March by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic at the Court of Appeal of Bologna – Criminal Enforcement Office.
The aforementioned man, who will have to serve a sentence of 6 years and 1 month in prison for money laundering, was found at his home.
