Malik Nabers Makes His Case as the Top Wide Receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft

Forget Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr.

LSU standout Malik Nabers believes he’s the top wide receiver available in the 2024 NFL draft.

“I’m a dog. I don’t know where it comes from you know, when I’m out there on the field, you know, the mentality that I show when I’m out there on the field, it’s just, you can’t guard me,” Nabers told NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe at LSU’s pro day Wednesday. “Anywhere I’m at, like, the defense can’t stop me, no matter if they double me.”

When asked where he ranks in this year’s wide receiver class, Nabers responded:

“For me, everybody says receiver one, receiver two, receiver three. I’m always the one that I would say I’m the best. We all got that chip on our shoulder that we the best. The main thing I came out here to set the record straight that I’m the best.”

Nabers had a tremendous performance at LSU’s pro day, and he was hailed as the draft’s most electric athlete by NFL scouts and draft observers on Wednesday after recording a 42-inch vertical, 10-foot, 9-inch broad jump and an unofficial 4.35-second 40-yard dash.

While Nabers is viewed as one of the top receivers available in this year’s draft class, Bleacher Report’s NFL Scouting Department ranked him as the No. 2 WR in its latest big board behind Harrison.

That said, Nabers surely improved his draft stock on Wednesday, and it’s possible he could be the first wide receiver off the board as “several teams” view him ahead of Harrison, per The Athletic’s Dan Brugler.
