Malik Monk is having the season of his life with the Sacramento Kings. In 2021, the shooting guard decided to bet on him and sign a reduced contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. A scenario that, if done well, would relaunch his career. And Monk has done exactly that, becoming an indispensable piece in the best Sacramento Kings since the Rick Adelman era and signing a candidate campaign to be Best Sixth Man of the course.
Now, a few months before ending his contractual relationship with the Kings, Monk is more or less clear about what he wants his immediate future to be like. «I would love to continue in Sacramento. I am very comfortable. I made many friends, the city loves me and I love the city », he admits in a chat with The Athletic.
