This is the balance of the control activities carried out by the local police officers of Macerata on Thursday night, a university nightlife evening, from 7pm to 4am, as part of the #LifeAddicted project which aims at prevention and information as fundamental tools to combat the road accidents linked to the use of alcohol and drugs. In the historic centre, the operation concerned the fight against noise pollution but also checks in construction sites and rest areas for residents, while in the peripheral areas the focus was mainly on roads.

And since, according to weapons legislation, the baseball bat cannot be transported except for reasons relating to sporting activities, it was seized and the 30-year-old, having claimed that it was his property, was reported. «The control activities are constant and continuous to protect the population – intervenes the local police commander Danilo Doria – and to prevent violent gestures from being committed, especially among young people and consequently to make entertainment healthier».
