Mac Jones traded to Jacksonville Jaguars: End of Career in New England

Quarterback Mac Jones’ career will not continue in New England.

Indeed, the Patriots traded him to the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to journalist Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. In return, the New England team will receive a late draft pick.

Still according to information from Rapoport, four teams were interested in Jones’ services, but it was the Jaguars who won the race.

Drafted 15th in the 2021 NFL draft, the 25-year-old athlete experienced several difficulties with the Patriots, especially during the most recent season. In 2023, Jones completed 224 of 345 passes attempted, amassing 2,120 yards in the process.

He had his best campaign in 2021, when he posted gains of 3,801 yards through the air, in addition to scoring 22 touchdown passes.
