Lucani Potenza Archers Shine at Italian Indoor Archery Championships in Pordenone 2024

The Italian indoor archery championships, after numerous editions held in Rimini and Bari in 2017, will stop in Pordenone in 2024. On the first day of competitions, the large expedition of the Lucani Potenza Archers, 8 athletes in the youth classes as well as the experts Pasquale Miglionico and Rosanna Falasca, performed well in the national event.

All the representatives of the Potenza association competed in the bare bow division; the aforementioned Miglionico and Falasca in the senior men’s and women’s master classes were positioned in 24th place and 29th place in their respective rankings.

In the youth classes, a good debut for David Gatta who placed himself in 30th place at the end of 60 arrows shot at a distance of 18 metres, his teammate Sara Larocca did well in the girls class, achieving an excellent sixth place. In the Student class, Ludovica Rotundo finished in eighth place with a score that certainly needs to be improved and which will give her the right incentive to move up the rankings.

Silver medal won in the junior men’s class in which the ASD Arcieri Lucani Potenza was present with 5 athletes, the team podium was won by Mattia Mazzilli, Daniele Miglionico and Salvatore Signa, but a huge contribution was given to the teammates by Stefano Milano and Gianmarco Vendegna who, despite not experiencing an excellent state of form, were fundamental in a group that returns to the city even more close-knit and with a desire to improve, already thinking about 2025.
