Louis Rees-Zammit Achieves Dream of NFL Success Through International Player Pathway

Former rugby player Louis Rees-Zammit joined the International Player Pathway (IPP) to fulfill his dream of playing in the NFL and he has achieved it. Based on the report by Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, Rees-Zammit visited the Chiefs and the AFC West team managed to agree on the terms of a contract with the former rugby player. Financial details were not disclosed.

The 22-year-old Welshman terminated his contract with Gloucester Rugby to pursue his dream in mid-January 2024. The Penarth-born player played the last Rugby World Cup with Wales and scored 25 pointsrecorded 17 tackles after seeing action in the five games his country played.

Rees-Zammit shined at his pro day with a time of 4.43 seconds in the 40-yard dash. Furthermore, her vertical jump was 29 inches and her broad jump was nine feet and seven inches.

The chances of staying on the roster in 2024 are too great since the NFL added an extra spot on the practice squad for international athletes. NFL franchises will be able to elevate these players three times during the regular season.
