Los Angeles Lakers Secure Thrilling Victory Against Milwaukee Bucks

Los Angeles Lakers This Tuesday, March 26, they obtained one of their best wins of the season. Due to the rival’s demand –Milwaukee as visitors-, by LeBron James out and, above all, for the process of a match that seemed totally out of his reach, down by 19 in the second half and by 10 the lack of 3 minutes.

Finally, there appeared angelina comeback -and the collapse of Milwaukee- to take the victory, in double overtime, by 128-124.

Beyond good collective work, the Lakers’ victory had two heroes. On the one hand, Anthony Davisauthor of 34 points, 23 rebounds and 4 blocksincluding several decisive blocks in the final moments of decisive periods and an excellent job of containing Giannis Antetokounmpo in those stretches.

The other main protagonist of the Lakers’ victory was Austin Reaves. The guard finished with 29 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists -second triple-double of his career-, in addition to scoring the most important shot of the night: a triple with 39 seconds left in the second overtime to put his team ahead 124-121.

For Reaves it is a continuation of what has been an excellent March on his part, returning to the level he showed during the past Playoffs. With his performance this Tuesday, Reaves averages for the month 19 points, 6.3 assists and 5.7 rebounds, with 50% from the field and 45% in triples.

Beyond what it represents fourth consecutive victory In the fight in the West, the best news that the Milwaukee Lakers get is this return of Reaves to its best version and for the bravery shown by the team to turn around an adverse score, without LeBron, against one of the best rivals in the competition. For the first time in a long time, a light of hope turns on for Los Angeles fans.

On the Bucks side, the 29 points, 21 rebounds and 11 assists from Antetokounmpowho in the fourth quarter and overtime took a surprising secondary role, while Damian Lillard and Malik Beasley unpainted the rim -8 of 28 in triples between them.

It is not the first time this season that Milwaukee bets on the Dame Time to close the games, leaving his best man as a screener, offensive rebounder and finisher. And although Lillard is more than capable of making those big shots, the feeling is that the Bucks at times they waste Giannis in those defining passages.

Not counting the game against the Lakers, Lillard has taken twice as many shots (22) as Antetokounmpo (11)in the final two minutes, one-possession gameswith the detail that the former Portlander scores 45% of them and the Greek, 55% of those shots.
