Lola to join Formula E in association with Yamaha

The next Formula E season, the 11th since the creation of the Electric Single-Seater Championship, will see the arrival of a famous English manufacturer, Lola. The brand, created in 1958 by Eric Broadley, disappeared in 2012, was bought by former driver Till Bechtolsheimer, and will therefore return to competition in 2024. It will not be alone in this adventure, since the Japanese manufacturer Yamaha is associated to the project and will take care of the development of the electric powertrain.

“We are delighted to be able to confirm our arrival in Formula E,” commented Mark Preston, former FE director of Techeetah. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to bring Lola back to the track as well as a fantastic platform for technology development. »
