It was at 7:21 a.m. (and 13 seconds), at sunrise, that Loïs Berrehar crossed the finish line of the great Solo Guy Cotten race. Skipper Macif 2022 took 1 day 18 hours and 21 minutes to complete the 370 nautical miles of the route. Alexis Loison (Groupe Réel) and Jules Delpech (ORCOM) complete the podium for this 3rd round of the 2024 edition.

This great race of the Solo Guy Cotten 2024 was marked by a collision the first night off the coast of Finistère, between Gaston Morvan (Région Bretagne – CMB Performance) and Chloé Le Bars (Endobreizh). In 2nd place in the provisional general classification before this accident, Gaston Morvan intends to claim to benefit from a reclassification. The jury will meet on Saturday morning, and the final general classification for the 2024 edition will therefore be announced tomorrow during the event’s prize giving ceremony.

“Be consistent throughout the season”

“I am particularly happy: I sign my first victory in an event of the French Elite Offshore Racing Championship and I am delighted to inscribe my name on the Guy Cotten trophy, rejoiced Loïs Berrehar. Now you will have to be consistent throughout the season! This course was worthy of a great offshore course! We had a lot of wind on average and I managed to escape just before the island of Yeu thanks to a magical cloud. I then attacked well and managed to maintain my lead over Alexis and Jules. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better way to start the season!”
