Lislois Basketball Club Dominates in Weekend Matches

The girls’ pennant team of the Basket-Club Lislois (BCL) hosted Maubourguet. It was a fluid match, played in a very good state of mind. The young Lisloise players have never been worried by the opposing team. They showed more technical ease and better mastery of team play. Their tight defense, favoring fast play and counter-attacks, guaranteed them a 72-47 victory and a place at the top of the championship.

The U18 department traveled to Frouzins. The Lisloise cadets took control of the match from the start. The 2nd quarter was a little sluggish and Frouzins had to pick up the score. However, the U18s were able to drive home the point in the 2nd half thanks to their collective play. Victory 67 to 27. The team thus signs a series of 5 victories which places it in 3rd place.

On the young side. The U13 department lost by 3 small baskets against Villemur. The territorial club cooperation (CTC) teams were also on the floor. The U15 Pyrénées traveled to Lavernose-Lacasse. It was a disappointing match after a long winning streak. Defeat 44 to 62. This small misstep will allow the Minimums to regain the state of mind and commitment that make them the leaders of the championship. The U15 department hosted Pointis-de-Rivière which won 33 to 45. The U13 region were on the floors of NETS (North East Toulousain). The 1st half was serious, the score close: Toulouse made more and more mistakes but stuck to the score. The Lisloises found themselves in front at the break (24 to 20). In the 3rd quarter, the Lisloises were able to take the match into their own hands thanks to interceptions and successful counter-attacks. They thus widened their lead by 15 points. At the end of the match, the opponents did not give up, nibbling the gap, but Lislo’s collective play, more secure, took the advantage. Victory 57 to 48.
