An unexpected turn! Week 4 of Spike Pro League Season 3 brought Fusion’s first loss, the longest overtime and an unstoppable Bulldogs.
On Wednesday, March 20 and Thursday, March 21, Riot Games FPS fans were able to enjoy matchdays 7 and 8 of the Venezuelan Valorant League from LGAplay.
Day 7
Wednesday started in the most intense way. Lightning Esports managed to achieve the most difficult victory in the league by beating Fusion Venezuela with a hard-fought 13 to 11. After 7 games won, the two-time champion, Fusion, loses its undefeated streak of the season after this result.
The night continued with the Bulldogs’ resounding victory over Skillz Team, with the clear margin of 13 to 5 for the pack. In the second BO1 Panter Esports left BurningUp Esports behind in a close Icebox with a 13 to 6 score.
The Outer Savage astronauts finished this intense SPKL day with their extraordinary victory against OwnTheWar. The galactic team won against the “Warlords” in a Split starring HankY1 and a devastating 13 to 4.
Day 8
The second day was a special date because the rescheduled game between the Bulldogs and Outer Savage took place. In this duel, previously suspended due to equipment connectivity problems, the pack defeated “the space otters” with a score of 13 to 10.
But the canine team did not stop achieving success there. Bulldogs got their third victory of the week by defeating Panter Esports, in their corresponding match of the day. In this classic fight between dogs and cats, the Bulldogs put the score in their favor with a 13 to 6.
The day continued with Skillz Team giving the best of its battles when facing Fusion Venezuela. But the current champion defeated Skillz 13 to 10 and scored his only point of the week. Then Outer Savage recovered from the loss to Bulldogs by beating BurningUp 13 to 8.
This series of confrontations of the best national Valorant culminated with one of the most heartfelt and close confrontations of the year. The game between Lightning and OwnTheWar led to an incredible overtime where Lightning triumphed after 32 rounds with a 17 to 15 in their favor on the Sunset map.
