Two cases of corruption condemned the two directors of the Asian country

China sentenced the former president of the Chinese Football Association (CFA) to life imprisonment between 2019 and 2023, Chen Xuyuan, for the crime of bribery. Chen, who also served as vice secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the CFA, was found guilty of accept more than 10.3 million euros in bribes over thirteen years, according to the court verdict.

Precisely, that amount of time was what the former president of the Chinese Athletics Association received as a prison sentence. Yu Hongchen, also for accepting bribes worth 2.8 million euros between 2010 and 2023, when he was also vice president of the CFA.
