Leinster Rugby Dominates Zebre Parma in United Rugby Championship Round 12 Victory

The twelfth round of the United Rugby Championship ended with a victory for Leinster who beat Zebre Parma at home with a score of 7 to 31.

The team coached by coach Fabio Roselli played an excellent first half, built many opportunities in the second half but were unable to score and, therefore, had to give in to the strength of the Irish team. Six tries in total, of which five were scored by Leinster who also took the bonus, and one by Zebre.

Very physical match in the strong Parma wind. Leinster started the match well, bringing great pressure to the defense and scoring in the first phase in the 4th minute after a scrum in their favor. The Irish are masters of the territory, but the yellow-blues remain in the game thanks to a good display in touch and great aggression in defence.
The hosts have several attacking opportunities, but score for the first time in the 25th minute, thanks to their numerical superiority due to a yellow card against Liam Turner, punished for a high tackle on Prisciantelli. Trulla receives the winning assist from Gregory and smashes the ball on the day of his 50th appearance with the club. At the end of the first half the indiscipline of Licata and his teammates increased: in the 34th minute Bianchi received a yellow card for a tackle on a man without the ball. The first half ends at 7-14 after a beautiful solo try from Dubliners winger Andrew Osborne.

In the second half the Zebre created several opportunities in attack but failed to score. The Irish do it, scoring in the 45th minute with McGrath, in the 50th minute with Captain Penny and in the 78th minute at the flag with Russell. Good impact from the bench of Pierre Bruno and Tommaso Di Bartolomeo, in his first call-up of the season.

The Zebre will meet at the Cittadella del Rugby in Parma on Monday 25 March in view of the thirteenth round of the BKT United Rugby Championship scheduled for Friday 29 March at Rodney Parade in Newport against the Gallesi Dragons.
