Leicester Women’s Team Coach Fired for Violating Code of Conduct

Leicester announced on Thursday in a press release published on its website, having fired its women’s team coach Willie Kirk after an internal investigation found he had violated the team’s code of conduct. According to British media, Kirk would have had a relationship with one of the players on the squad.

“Following an internal disciplinary process and in compliance with the club’s privacy obligations, it was established that Willie had breached the team’s code of conduct to a degree that made his position untenable,” said the ninth club in the Women Super League, the English Women’s First Division.

His assistant Jennifer Foster will act on the bench while waiting for the club to find a replacement for Kirk.
