LeBron James ruled out for Lakers’ clash with Bucks due to ankle injury

Were you looking forward to watching the clash between LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo tonight? Sorry, we’ll have to come back. For the first game of the Lakers’ road trip to Milwaukee, the King will not play because of his ankle problem.

C’est Adrian Wojnarowski d’ESPN who announced the news, based on Lakers sources.

LeBron James is out vs. the Bucks tonight, team says.

It’s still LeBron’s ankle that’s acting up. If the King only missed one of the 14 games played by Los Angeles over the last month (it was March 8 against… Milwaukee, with a victory for the Lakers), James sometimes seemed bothered by the pain. Obviously, she is a little too strong today to participate in the Bucks match.

Without LeBron James, the Lakers will need an XXL Anthony Davis and a D’Angelo Russell “in Milwaukee mode” to win on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s floor. Especially since the Bucks are now complete (or almost) with the return of Khris Middleton, and on good momentum with five victories in their last seven games.

The Lakers are now 9th in the West with a record of 39 wins – 32 losses (3 games ahead of 11th Houston, 2.5 behind 8th Phoenix).
