The winners of the different categories will be decided by Laureus World Sports Academythe jury par excellence composed of 69 sports legendsafter that further 1300 journalists from all over the world have already cast their votes, defining the nominations. No fewer than 15 Olympic and Paralympic gold medal winners will participate in the next Laureus Awards, which will precede the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics by a few months. The medal-winning athletes will also be joined by other champions and world record holders from many sporting disciplines. It is the first time that the Laureus Awards are held in Madrid and so Miguel Indurain e Raúllegends of Spanish sport, have already wanted to confirm their presence well in advance next April 22nd at the Palacio de Cibelesone of the most iconic buildings of the Spanish capital.
