Within the framework of the launch of the brand new Regional Tournaments to guarantee the official CAB competition of the teams of the Province of Santa Fe, their presentation was carried out. Santiago Losada, Secretary of the Argentine Basketball Confederation, was present in Cañada de Gómez where all the details regarding these new competitions were provided.
“We want the Santa Fe clubs to have their competition regionalized and stable throughout the year. These tournaments, together with the direct affiliation to CAB of the associations, come to normalize and organize a very important region of the country for the development of Argentine basketball. In this way, Santa Fe will have official men’s and women’s competition, and its players will once again be on the radar of the coaching staffs of training teams,” Losada said at a press conference.
The members of Sports Region 5 and the associations of Santa Fe, Rosario, Cañada de Gómez, Rafaela, Oeste Santafesino and Venado Tuerto directly affiliated with CAB will be the first to start these competitions, managed together.
In this way, official competition will be guaranteed from the U12 to the U21 male and female categories, in addition to the Prefederal and corresponding senior championships. These local and regional tournaments will qualify for the national events organized jointly by the affiliates, Sports Regions and Associations.
Each region will be made up of zones that will be determined from the registered teams. It is important to note that the competitions will be held under the Digital Registration System (SiReDi) using a digital form in each match.
