On Friday, the medal sets of this year’s Latvian championship in luge sports were distributed at the Sigulda bobsleigh and luge track. The championship titles in the adult singles competition were won by brother and sister Kristers and Kendija Aparjodi, and in the doubles crew competition – Mārtiņš Bots and Roberts Plūme, as well as Anda Upīte and Zane Kaluma.

In the last competition of the season, in both men’s races, K. Aparjods from Saulkrasti was the fastest, who beat Sigulda’s Ginta Bērziņš by almost three tenths of a second. The third and fourth places were taken by juniors – skier Kaspars Rinks and Roberts Dreimanis from Riga, according to information from the Latvian Luge Sports Federation.

In the competition for ladies and juniors, twice as many participants started. In the sum of both races, K.
