LASK has to do without Ibrahim Mustapha again. As the Linz team reported on Thursday, the offensive player suffered another ankle injury during training and will be out for a longer period of time.
The 23-year-old made his comeback in the test match against 1860 Munich the previous week after being injured for the first time in November. Now the Ghanaian suffered another fracture in his left ankle, which will require surgery.
Mustapha is unlikely to be available to LASK again until the beginning of the coming season. “The new injury is extremely bitter for us and of course for Ibrahim himself,” said sports director Radovan Vujanovic. “But he will once again receive full support from us and we are absolutely convinced that he will be able to fight his way back again.”
