Lakers extinguish Minnesota with record-breaking Anthony Davis

A second victory in a row for the Lakers and a historic statistical line for the American giant from the City of Angels. Two days after stopping the Bucks at home (123-122), LAL dominated Minnesota on the night from Sunday to Monday (120-109), led by a great Anthony Davis. The 2.08 m American pivot offered one of the best performances of his career, becoming the very first player to score more than 25 points, more than 25 rebounds and 5 steals in a match.

Davis thus accumulated 27 points, 25 rebounds (including 21 in the second half), 5 assists, 7 interceptions and 3 blocks during the 12th victory in 17 games for the Lakers. And the nine-time All-Star was not even the best scorer of the evening since LeBron James scored 29 points (also adding 9 assists and 8 rebounds), well supported by Austin Reaves (19 points).

In Los Angeles, Minnesota had the opportunity to regain the leadership position in the Western Conference, but fell one place (3rd), in favor of Denver, remaining on two consecutive defeats, despite Naz Reid’s 25 points. (5 rebounds) and Anthony Edwards (7 rebounds and 7 assists).
