Kevin Cordon Aims to Secure Spot in Paris 2024 Olympics at Guatemala Yonex PAN AM Championships

Kevin Cordon the top card of national badminton, will seek to consolidate its ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games when it hosts the Guatemala Yonex PAN AM Championships 2024.

The National Badminton Federation presented the details of the 27th edition of the most anticipated individual tournament in the country and which will represent the last scoring event for the Olympic qualification ranking for America, for which the Zacapaneco already has a guaranteed place.

The event will be held from April 10 to 13, at the Teodoro Palacios Flores Gymnasium in the capital city.

Due to the relevance of the tournament, no less than 150 athletes from Argentina, Brazil, Barbados, Canada, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico, United States, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Cuba, Paraguay, Peru, among others, are expected to participate.

Along with the Zacapaneco, Yeison del Cid and Nikté Sotomayor will also participate in the contest, as well as Canadians Michelle Li from Canada, number 12 and 10 in the world respectively.

Kevin Cordón and his career

Cordón, currently ranked number 22 in the qualifying ranking for Paris 2024, will be honored for his outstanding sporting career and with his great achievements he has become largely responsible for the promotion and development of this sport in Guatemala.
