Kelly Olvera Evangelista: Pursuing Judo Excellence and Following in the Footsteps of Hidalgo Leaders

The athlete Kelly Olvera Evangelista has made judo a fundamental part of her life. In the medium or long term she wants to emulate Luz Olvera and Nabor Castillo, who are Hidalgo leaders of this sport at the state, national and international level.

In five years as a state team player, Olvera Evangelista has won two third places in the Conade National Games and a first place in a “Profr.” tournament. “Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi.”

To do this, he highlights that an athlete must have a lot of discipline, “I always try to attend most of the training sessions so as not to lose performance. Also, it is complicated at this age, because sometimes opportunities arise to go to some parties, in my case, I give up and focus on judo.”

The above is because in addition to this sport being important in her life, she seeks to transcend more within it. Currently, she says, she does not feel as prepared as to be part of the Mexican national team, but, she points out that she is excited to follow the in the footsteps of Nabor Castillo, who attended the 2012 London Olympic Games, and Luz Olvera, who also participated in international stages.

Finally, he extended the invitation to the general public to practice the sport that they like to make it part of their life and with it, in addition to contributing to a healthy life, feel better about themselves.
