Karim Wade, Abdoulaye Wade and the PDS announce their support for Bassirou Diomaye Faye

It was through his Twitter page that KArim Wade made the announcement: “Our National Secretary General, Maître Abdoulaye Wade, has just provided the official support of the Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS) to the Diomaye President Coalition for the presidential election of March 24. I express my deep satisfaction for this informed decision. »

And to continue, “As our Secretary General has rightly recalled, our country is at a turning point in its history, where the need to restore the rule of law and guarantee the independence of the judiciary must take precedence over all other considerations. Let us be aware that these fundamental principles, pillars of any living democracy, are today seriously threatened. Without them, every citizen finds themselves in danger, exposed to arbitrariness and injustice. »

The decision of our National Secretary General to support the President Diomaye Coalition goes beyond a political choice. It is a commitment to the protection of our freedoms, our rights, our dignity as Senegalese. It is a call for unity in the defense of our most cherished values and for the future of our country.

In this spirit, I launch a vibrant appeal to all electoral committees of the Karim 2024 Coalition throughout the national territory and in the diaspora, to work closely with the electoral committees of the President Diomaye Coalition.

Our common objective is to secure the vote of every Senegalese and to defeat the massive fraud plan orchestrated by candidate Amadou Ba who is determined to steal the election in the first round at all costs. This collective action is essential to ensure the transparency of the vote and the reliability of the results, thus guaranteeing that the will of the Senegalese people will be respected.

I invite you all, PDS activists and leaders, allies of the Karim 2024 Coalition, and committed citizens, to mobilize to help candidate Diomaye Faye win. We must be determined and united to block the road to the electoral coup orchestrated by Amadou Ba and to contribute to the advent of a fairer Senegal, where law, justice and equality for all reign.
