Kalash Criminal and Bouanga, snipers

It was not easy to find a slot so that Kalash Criminel and Denis Bouanga could exchange. Because these two 29-year-old friends are separated by a nine-hour time difference, but also because they have a busy schedule, the first having a series of meetings to promote his new album GOOD COURAGE (All Points /Believe), while the second has just resumed the MLS season with Los Angeles FC.

But finally, on February 26, the rapper from Sevran went at the end of the day to the headquarters of L’Équipe, in Boulogne-Billancourt, where he was able to chat with the Gabonese attacker, just before he took leaves for his morning workout. On the occasion of the recording of the fourteenth episode of Une-Deux, L’Équipe’s football and rap podcast, they were able to discuss the many similarities that punctuate their journeys, from their African origins, to their francophone talk, who could have played tricks on them, through their ease of reinventing themselves, because Kalash Criminel wants to reconvert himself into an agent of football players, while Bouanga has succeeded in a transition which was not at all obvious, by the way in 2022 from Saint-Étienne to Los Angeles, where he was crowned top scorer in MLS last year.

In the end, their very rich discussion addresses both the quality of Gareth Bale’s free kicks (a former teammate of the Gabonese in LA) and Jürgen Klopp’s last Premier League match with Liverpool, scheduled for May 19 against Wolverhampton (which the rapper will attend, at the invitation of Ibrahima Konaté). Furthermore, Bouanga speaks of his desire to return to Europe this summer, of his “to death” passion for OM as well as the integration of Hugo Lloris within his franchise, when Kalash Criminel confides to him that his current professional development owes a lot to a certain… Franck Ribéry.
