Thanks to the elimination of Naples in the round of 16 of the Champions League against FC Barcelona (1-1, 1-3), Juventus is guaranteed to compete in the first 32-team Club World Cup in 2025. 12 European teams will take part: the four C1 winners between 2021 and 2024, as well as the 8 best clubs in the UEFA coefficient over this period. And the defeat of Naples on Tuesday ensures the Old Lady will be part of it.

In Europe, Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Porto, Benfica, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund have already secured their places for this tournament which will take place in the United States. United. Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona will compete for the 11th ticket, while the 12th will be allocated to the winner of the current edition of the LoC. Unless already qualified, in which case an additional place will be released, provided that no country has more than two representatives.

There is, however, an exception: if more than two clubs from the same country are among the last four winners of the Champions League, then the nation in question will be represented by three teams. Which could be the case for England if Arsenal wins the C1 this year.
