This Wednesday, March 27, the UNSS academic climbing championship took place in Montluçon in Allier. Meti, Aude, Fantin and Camille climbed with pugnacity on the five difficulty routes and two boulders of the competition. They dominated the meeting in the excellence category and became academic champions. This performance qualifies them for the French championship, which will take place in Gémozac at the beginning of June.
Noémie worked as a route and boulder judge, and successfully completed her young academic official diploma. Alexis and Eugène, young organizers, helped effectively with the technical organization of the competition, while being able to encourage their comrades. All of them brilliantly represented the Jules Vallès college at the academic level. Continuation of the adventure at the French championship where they will be keen to surpass themselves in a demanding and friendly competition…

This Wednesday, March 27, the departmental badminton championships also took place at the Palais des Sports. There was a competitive spirit and fair play throughout the competition from all participants. The Jules Vallès college presented an “establishment” team made up of Rosalie, Scarlett, Mathys, Antoine and Eliot (the young official essential to participate in the competitions).
They valiantly won the first three group matches which qualified them for the semi-finals which they also won. With their ticket in their pocket for the final, they performed brilliantly, cementing their domination. They finished 1st and are therefore departmental champions out of eight competing teams.
The sports association also presented three junior teams. JV 1 (Loïs, Hugo, Louis and Mathieu JO) finished first, JV 3 (Auxane, Maïa, Louis and Timothé JO) second and JV 2 (Mathilda, Jade, Gustave, Louis and Anatole JO) completed the podium out of 16 teams at total. These very good results allow them to access the academic championship which will take place on Wednesday April 10 in Moulins.
