An exciting period for the Judo Club Sakura of Forlì which placed Ludovica Ugolini on the podium in the international tournament in Vittorio Veneto: she won an extraordinary silver medal in the 57 kilograms Under 18 category. The girl from Forlì surrendered in the final only to the strong Austrian Katharina Mikota, but placed ahead of the athletes of Akiyama from Settimo Torinese, Anita Comba and Margherita Actis. Ludovica Ugolini is currently among the top ten athletes in Italy in her category and led an impeccable race, showing off her excellent physical and technical preparation.
The excellent moment of Judo Sakura Forlì is confirmed by the presence of four athletes from the Forlì team – after having passed the regional selections – at the finals of the Italian Cadet-Under 18 A2 championships held at the PalaErcole in Policoro, in the province of Matera. Agata Campana, in the up to 70 kilos category, placed tenth: after having passed the first round by bye, she was defeated in the second by Alexandra Tartaglione from Lazio. In the men’s field, 17th was Alessandro Casadei (73 kg) who benefited from a bye in the first round before losing to Alessandro Porcedda from Piedmont. In the category up to 55 kg there were two athletes from the Sakura Judo Club: Andrea Ravaglioli placed 33rd having lost in the first round to the Piedmontese Simone Vanana while the only one to have won a match was Erik Ciccotelli who defeated in the first round Achille Quagliato, before giving in to Lazio’s Niccolò Ciavurro.
