It is with his usual big smile that Antillo-Toulousain judoka Stéphane Legrand-Belleroche attacks the year 2024, in masters. A year that started well for the athlete competing in the M5 category under 60 kg who finished first at the Eurométropole Master in Lille in January.

Lavernosien-Lacassien, licensed at the Balma club, his champion journey began in Martinique, then in the West Indies, Guyana, up to the French judo championship, including… the Triathlon. In 2023, in his prize lists and podiums, note that he finished 2nd at the French Championship in Paris, then 1st at the international master of Médoc, in Bordeaux, 1st at the Master d’Artagnan d’Auch, 2nd at the Master of Anjou Vétérans in Angers… A promising career, while having a sustained professional activity as a Business development manager in cloud environments.

This year, guided by his coach Michel Baratin (4th Dan in judo), among other competitions, he plans to participate in the French championship in Paris (June 21, 2024), the European championship in Sarajevo (June 8) and at the world championship in Las Vegas, November 4, 2024… “Michel and I are determined and motivated to achieve the podium objectives” confides the champion who continues to win tournaments.
