José María Rivera Parga is the new general director of the AICM – El Sol de México

Rear Admiral José María Rivera Parga is the new General Director of the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and the Airport Services of Mexico City (SACM), as was announced through a press release issued by said entity.

In said statement you can read that this decision was made by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the Admiral of the Secretary of the Navy, José Rafael Ojeda Durán.

Rivera Parga replaces Vice Admiral Carlos Ignacio Velázquez Tiscareño, who leaves the general management of the Mexico City International Airport less than two years after taking office.

For his part, Rear Admiral José María Rivera Parga is an engineer in Aeronaval Sciences, an aviator pilot from the Heroic Naval Military School, a master in Naval Administration and a master in National Security from the Center for Higher Naval Studies and a master in Sciences in Aeronautical Engineering from the United States Air Force Institute of Technology. This according to the statement itself.

“The swearing-in took place before Admiral César Carlos Preciado Velázquez, Chief Officer of the Secretary of the Navy on behalf of the Admiral Secretary of the Navy. The ceremony was also attended by the General Director of the Mexico City Airport Group (GACM), Admiral Juan José Padilla Olmos, among other officials of the Mexico City International Airport,” details the AICM statement.
