Jordan Luplow Leads Braves to Victory Over Blue Jays in Preseason Matchup

Jordan Luplow hit a two-run homer in the first inning and the Atlanta Braves cruised to a 6-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays in a preseason game Saturday afternoon.

Jays starter Chris Bassitt (0-1) allowed three earned runs in three innings of work, all in the first. Reliever Brendon Little allowed as many in two thirds of an inning.

Danny Jansen hit a run-scoring double for the Jays (2-6), who totaled six hits today.

For the Braves (4-4), starter Reynaldo Lopez (1-1) allowed two hits without allowing a run during three innings.

Elsewhere in the MLB, among the Quebecers in action, Charles Leblanc only made one turn at bat replacing Nolan Schanuel at first base and he was removed to end the seventh inning. His Los Angeles Angels won 4-1 over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Otto Lopez, for his part, drew a walk in one presence in a 3-2 defeat of the San Francisco Giants at the hands of the San Diego Padres, their fifth defeat in seven outings.
