Jesse Bethel Badminton Team Falls to Pinole Valley 10-7

The Jesse Bethel badminton team lost to Pinole Valley 10-7 on Thursday night.

Bethel picked up a win in girls’ singles play from No. 4 singles player Yvonne Alambra, while No. 3 and No. 4 boys’ singles players Fernando Borrayo and Paul Sanchez.

Bethel also had girls doubles wins from the teams of Sophia Aguirre and Alambra, along with Abby Vargas and Anne Esta.

Boys doubles wins came from the teams of Harnaman Khaira and Rene Guardado, along with Phu-An Le and Julien Leiva.

Bethel is now 1-6 on the season.

Baseball
Hercules 7, Vallejo 1

The Vallejo High baseball team lost to Hercules 7-1 on Wednesday, ending a six-game winning streak.

Hercules led just 3-0 after five innings, but scored a run in the sixth and three more in the seventh to run away with the victory.

David Silva Jr. pitched a complete-game, four hitter for the win.

Bethel 9, Richmond 1

The Bethel High baseball team may be 2-8 overall but the Jaguars remained undefeated in Tri-County Athletic League play with a 9-1 win over Richmond on Wednesday.

The Jaguars are now 2-0 in the TCAL and played Richmond again on Friday afternoon.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent 6, St. Vincent de Paul 0

The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High baseball team defeated St. Vincent de Paul on Thursday, 6-0.

The Bruins were led by Sergio Urias and Cade Brooks, who each had two hits. Brooks also drove in a run.

Logan Lissner earned the win by pitching four innings and giving up two hits while walking two.

St. Pat’s is now 6-3 on the season.

American Canyon 7, Healdsburg 6

The American Canyon baseball team defeated Healdsburg 7-6 on Thursday.

Kamari Antoncich had two hits and three RBI for the Wolves, while Dylan Brown had two hits and an RBI. Mason Harris had two hits and an RBI, while Noah Johnson drove home two runs.

American Canyon is now 5-5 on the season.

Softball
Hercules 20, Vallejo 11

The Vallejo High softball team lost to Hercules 20-11 on Wednesday.

With the loss the Redhawks are now 1-2 on the season.
