Jeremy Yucristy Olivares Ramírez Wins Silver in National Judo Championship

Once again, Jeremy Yucristy Olivares Ramírez from Xalapa proved to be a national power in judo, as he achieved the silver medal in his new category, which is the First Force, 100 kg Division, and he did so in the “Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi 2024” Judo Championship. which took place in Guadalajara, Jalisco.

In the competition held at the Code Sports Center, the Veracruz native from the capital of the state of Veracruz faced Mariano Saucedo from Mexico City, whom he defeated.

Then he measured strength with Julián Gutiérrez Haid, representative of Veracruz and by technical decision in Golden Score, in a close fight he won the silver medal against Alexis Esquivel, representative of the state of Jalisco.

This metal undoubtedly shows that it continues to be among the best in Mexico and now it has done so in its new category, which is the Primera Fuerza and it is being performed at 20 years of age.

Previously he was in the Junior category and this step he took is very important, as he will find a new level that will serve him for future competitions at the national and international level.

Julián Gutiérrez, from Xalapa, represented Veracruz and was Jeremy’s rival.

The selected Alexis Esquivel, who is currently 29 years old, is waiting for the generational change of that discipline, and he was also a very strong rival.

Jeremy was very happy to continue paving his way, that path that has not been easy, however, he has fought against all odds to remain among the best in Mexico.

The athlete is currently in the north of the country, studying, however, he does not forget the city of Xalapa where he was born in sports and where his family is supporting him unconditionally.

Now he will continue preparing, as they will have competitions in which points will be at stake to participate in international events, including world events in which the athlete has already performed where he has praised Mexico and the state of Veracruz, as he has a high level of competition.

The athlete has participated in Pan American and world championships with important achievements and wants to continue expanding his repertoire of medals, which are more than 150 that he has achieved in national and international events.
