Jēkabpils “Lūšu” volleyball players win the third place in the Baltic League

“Lūši” defeated the “Ezerzeme”/”Daugavpils University” team 3-0 (25:18, 25:19, 25:22).

For the winners, Jānis Medenis scored 18 points with three runs, Eduards Stieľelis scored 12 points, and Zigurds Adamovičs scored ten points, collecting five with a block.

Eriks Voronko was the top scorer in the Daugavpils team with nine points.

It is the third bronze medal of the Baltic League for Jēkabpilians.

Daugavpils and Jēkabpils teams last met a little more than three weeks ago, when “Lūši” won in five sets.

“Selver”/”TalTech” from Tallinn and Tartu “Bigbank” represented by Andras Shiryakov will meet in the final at 20:00.

On Friday, the Jēkabpils team lost 0-3 (11:25, 20:25, 19:25) to Tallinn “Selver”/”TalTech”, but “Ezerzeme”/DU lost 1-3 (25:22, 17:25, 20 :25, 20:25) lost to Tartu “Bigbank” volleyball players.

“Rīga Stradiņa University”/”Murjaņi Sports Gymnasium” (RSU/MSĂ) volleyball players will meet “University of Tartu”/”Bigbank” in the sports hall of Tallinn University of Technology at 5 p.m.

All matches with the participation of Latvian teams are broadcasted live by the TV channel “Best4Sport”.
