Jayson Tatum Leads Celtics to Victory, Antetokounmpo Dominates in Bucks Win

Jayson Tatum, with 23 points, led the Boston Celtics to a 104-92 victory in New Orleans in the NBA match played last night. Latvian Kristaps Porzingis contributed 19 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks, three assists and two steals while Jaylen Brown added 17 points for the Celtics. Jrue Holiday, however, scored 13 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Boston. The Celtics’ record is now 58-16, a roadmap that projects them towards supremacy in the East. New Orleans, fifth in the Western Conference, fell to 45-29, half a game ahead of Dallas and two above Phoenix in a battle for the last two guaranteed playoff spots for the West.

Antetokounmpo, solo show

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 36 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and dished out seven assists, plus three steals and a block, to lead the Bucks to a 122-113 victory in Atlanta. The Bucks broke the Hawks’ four-game winning streak and went 47-27, extending their lead over Cleveland to two games for second place in the East. Atlanta, led by Bogdan Bogdanovic’s 38 points, fell at 34-40 and now 10th in the East. Orlando’s Wendell Carter had 15 points and 13 rebounds on a night when seven Magic players scored in double figures (none more than 15 points) in a 118-88 home win about Memphis.
