Japanese Champions Dominate in Exciting Judo Finals at Turkey Grand Slam

In the first final of the day, the -48 kg category, Turkey’s Sila ERSIN faced the category queen, Natsumi TSUNODA of Japan, who used her two signature moves – tomoe-nagi to waza-ari and then block arms – to take victory. Fantastic transition shown by the Japanese world champion in front of a passionate crowd.

Fatih UYSAL, deputy director general of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, presented the medals.

At -60kg, Ayub BLIEV faced Luka MKHEIDZE in a physical match that earned the gold score. It was BLIEV who managed to dominate his opponent to score ippon and win the gold medal.

The most dominant fighter in the judo world made an appearance at -52 kg… Uta Abe, undefeated since 2019. Just 10 seconds on the clock and it was all over. Ippon Abe and her winning streak continues.
