Indian Wells is very popular with tennis aces. Immediately after the 4 Grand Slams, the Masters tournament in California is popular with many professionals. The draw was announced on Tuesday night in Europe.

The big names in the tennis scene are all competing in Indian Wells. Including Rafael Nadal, who will make his comeback around 2 months after his injury sustained in Brisbane. The Spaniard meets Milos Raonic (CAN) at the start of round 1. The winner plays against the Dane Holger Rune in round 2.

Jannik Sinner has a bye at the start. The South Tyrolean takes part in round 2. Then Sinner will meet either Thanasi Kokkinakis (AUS) or Marcos Giron (USA). Kokkinakis is number 99 in the ATP rankings and has lost against Sinner in three attempts. The Sexten native has only played against Giron (ATP 48) once (last year in Shanghai) and won the match in 2 sets.

The German Jan-Lennard Struff could wait for Sinner in the 3rd round. The Austrian Sebastian Ofner would also be a potential opponent before he could face the American Ben Shelton in the round of 16. Andrey Rublev (RUS) could then be Sinner’s opponent in the quarterfinals – but both have to make it there first.
