Indian Wells – Jannik Sinner qualified for the semifinals of the Indian Wells Masters 1000 tournament by defeating Czech Jiri Lehecka in straight sets, writes SportNews.bz.

The world number three won 6:3, 6:3 against the Czech, who is currently number 32 in the world rankings. At the same time, Sinner celebrated his 19th mud victory in a row.

Like many opponents this season, his opponent seemed powerless, helpless and without a chance.

However, both players struggled at times with the tricky weather conditions in the Californian desert. On the one hand there was a gusty wind and on the other hand the temperatures were significantly lower than in the previous days.

Nevertheless, Sinner is in the semi-finals and will meet on Saturday Spanier Carlos Alcaraz. The world number two recently retained the upper hand over Alexander Zverev (ATP 6) with a win of 6:3, 6:1.
