Sancho’s emotional message

On the sidelines at Manchester United, a man in demand again at Borussia Dortmund: Jadon Sancho has found his happiness again – and is fighting.

Jadon Sancho apparently had no problems fitting back into the Borussia Dortmund team. At least the Englishman, who returned to the Black and Yellows in the winter after frustrating months at Manchester United, immediately took over as DJ in the dressing room.

“But only because the others asked me to,” Sancho explained in an internal club interview, adding: “Not just any player, but all of them. They like my music and they know I pump them up before the game.”

Fans can now also expect an “honest new start” from him on the pitch. The 24-year-old emphasized that he had not changed during his two and a half years on the British Isles and therefore did not have to reinvent himself.

“I still have the qualities that I had in my first time here. The most important thing for me is to rekindle the connection with my teammates,” said Sancho. “I need to know how they work, they need to know how I work.”

Terzic? “Owe him a lot, if not everything!”

When asked what motivated him to return to BVB, Sancho gave a clear answer: “Especially Edin (Terzic; editor’s note)!” The offensive player previously had an “excellent relationship” with the Dortmund coach .

“I owe him a lot, if not everything,” Sancho praised him highly: “I also always got along very well with Sebastian Kehl, and I still know most of the current team very well. It was like coming back home.”

Sancho’s declaration of war

With a view to the upcoming final spurt of the season, Sancho is now fighting. Dortmund will “definitely qualify for the Champions League,” the Englishman said, adding: “Fifth place after the first half of the season was a snapshot and nothing else! I’ll put it this way: a place in the top three should be the minimum for BVB.”

The Black and Yellows are currently in fourth place in the Bundesliga, but are only one point ahead of fifth-placed Leipzig. The gap to VfB Stuttgart is again six points ahead.
