Jadeveon Clowney Signs Two-Year Deal with Carolina Panthers Worth Up to $24 Million

Jadeveon Clowney has signed a two-year deal worth up to $24 million with the Carolina Panthers, Ian Rapoport reports. NFL Network.

The defensive end tied a career high with nine and a half sacks and his contract expired at the end of last campaign, like several Ravens players.

He signed a contract for only one year with them, after having had a difficult season with the Cleveland Browns.

Under the tutelage of defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald in 2023, he also recorded the third highest total tackles for losses of his career, with 19. He also played every game on the schedule for only the second time, after year 2017.

He won’t be as well rounded with the Panthers, who have made several personnel moves, including sending star player Brian Burns to the New York Giants for little in return. The Panthers received only a 2024 second-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick for the defensive end.

The Ravens’ season ended at the hands of the Chiefs in the AFC finale. Baltimore had the best performance in the NFL, as well as the best point differential. It was the Ravens’ longest run since their Super Bowl triumph in February 2013 and they hosted the AFC Finals for the first time since 1971.
